How do I look up a phone number using Robo Shield?

How do I lookup a number from my phone's call log?
Locate the number you would like to look up in your native call log, then select the info icon information_icon.png

Press and hold your finger on the phone number to copy. Launch Robo Shield and paste the number in lookup search bar.

How do I lookup a number?

To look up a phone number within the app, navigate to the Lookup Magnifying_glass.pngsection in the app. Enter a valid 10-digit phone number in the search bar. Then select Magnifying_glass.pngYou can also copy and paste a phone number from your call log into the search bar to display additional information.

Can Robo Shield lookup Private, Restricted, Unknown, or Anonymous callers?

Robo Shield cannot lookup Private, Restricted, Unknown, or Anonymous callers if they are coming in without a phone number attached to them. There is currently no way to identify a caller without a valid, ten-digit phone number.

Why do certain numbers not display a name when I attempt a Number Lookup?

Some numbers have their information withheld by their carrier or owner. If name information is not available, Robo Shield will provide additional geographic information, when available.

How do I lookup up a number using the Home Screen extension widget?

The Home Screen extension widget is a widget that performs a lookup of the last number that was copied to your clipboard.

  1. Locate the number you would like to look up in your native call log, then select the info icon
  2. Press and hold your finger on the phone number to copy it to your clipboard. Then, navigate to the home screen widget to lookup the number. (furthest ‘home’ screen to the left on your device. (New users may need to ‘add’ the widget before it’s available)
  3. ‘Tapping’ the widget will direct you to the app where you can block, file a report, or approve the number.
